Our client is a leading provider of filtration solutions for industrial, process plant, and mining applications. Specializing in technical textiles such as Filter Cloths, they have established themselves as a trusted name in the industry.

Based in Honeydew, Gauteng, our client serves a wide range of clients across South Africa and neighbouring countries. With a focus on innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction, they are committed to delivering tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of their valued customers.

Our client is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Technical Sales Representative to join their team. As a Technical Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth, expanding customer acquisition, and enhancing profitability by offering specialized filtration solutions to clients.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable company and contribute to its ongoing success. The successful candidate will receive a competitive monthly salary ranging from R25,000 to R36,000, along with commission, fuel allowance, and provident fund benefits after 6 months.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sell products and services using persuasive arguments to prospective customers.
  • Perform cost-benefit analyses of existing and potential customers to showcase the value of filtration solutions.
  • Maintain positive business relationships with clients, ensuring future sales opportunities.
  • Present, promote, and sell products/services to both existing and prospective customers.
  • Analyze customer needs and conduct needs assessments to provide tailored filtration solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with customers, fostering trust and loyalty.
  • Utilize cold-calling techniques to reach out to customer leads and generate new business opportunities.
  • Resolve customer problems and complaints promptly to maximize satisfaction.
  • Achieve sales targets and outcomes within the agreed schedule.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with team members and collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Analyze the market’s potential, track sales, and provide regular status reports.
  • Provide management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, and potential for new products and services.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and promotional trends, continuously improving sales strategies based on feedback.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree or Diploma in business or a related field such as Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
  • Proven work experience as a Technical Sales Representative.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Familiarity with CRM practices and the ability to build productive business relationships.
  • Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven track record in sales.
  • Excellent selling, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong prioritization, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience’s needs.
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
