Our client, a dynamic and innovative company in the Poultry industry, is looking for a talented and experienced Team Leader to join their team. As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that various products adhere to the highest quality and food safety standards. You will be responsible for minimizing wastage, optimizing distributions, managing and maintaining equipment, and continuously monitoring labour compliance.

Joining this dynamic team, you will implement work instructions, volume requirements, and specifications to drive efficiency and productivity. This role offers competitive remuneration, allowances, and other incentives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that various products produced adhere to stringent quality and food safety standards.
  • Minimize wastage and optimize distributions to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain equipment according to established standards.
  • Continuously monitor, train, and assess labour compliance with high standards.
  • Implement and enforce adherence to work instructions, volume requirements, and specifications.

Critical Competencies and Skills:

  • Strong leadership competencies to effectively lead and motivate a team.
  • Excellent knowledge of all poultry production methods, ensuring adherence to industry best practices.
  • Ability to take prompt and effective corrective action to address production issues.
  • Good communication skills to foster collaboration and ensure clear understanding of tasks and expectations.
  • Proficient in computer literacy to utilize relevant software and systems effectively.
  • Sound technical and mechanical equipment knowledge to support efficient operations.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • A qualification in Food Technology/Science/Nutrition, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in managing a production team in an FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment with a solid technical background knowledge is essential.
  • Previous experience in the Poultry industry will be an added advantage.
