Our client is seeking a Senior IT Support Technician to join their dynamic team. As a Senior IT Support Technician, you will play a vital role in providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of their IT infrastructure.
This is a hybrid working model, allowing you to work from home three days a week. Remuneration and other incentives will be discussed during the application process.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain Microsoft technologies within the organization’s infrastructure.
- Manage the implementation and maintenance of networks and sub-networks, servers, Active Directories, computer hardware and software systems, and related components.
- Utilize your expertise in Azure technology to implement and manage Azure services.
- Oversee Information Technology asset management, ensuring proper tracking and documentation of assets.
- Engage in vendor and service provider management, maintaining effective relationships and coordinating services as needed.
- Provide IT support, including laptop setups and troubleshooting.
- Handle technical duties such as server management and network configuration.
- Take ownership of stakeholder management, liaising with external service providers and clients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve IT-related issues.
- Ensure proactive identification of problems and effective problem-solving to minimize disruptions.
- Demonstrate resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced and evolving technology landscape.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12 qualification.
- Extensive experience in the implementation and maintenance of Microsoft technologies.
- Experience in the implementation and maintenance of networks and sub-networks, servers, Active Directories, computer hardware and software systems, and related components.
- Experience with Azure technology and its implementation and management.
- Experience with Information Technology asset management.
- Previous experience in vendor/service provider management.
Nice to Haves:
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Microsoft Certifications such as MCSE or MCITP, or other relevant industry qualifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organization and coordination abilities.
- Proficiency in conflict management and negotiation.
- Effective problem identification and problem-solving skills.
- Resilient and adaptable, able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
