Our client is looking for a skilled and experienced Segregated Fund Accountant to join their dynamic team. As a Segregated Fund Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in the Segregated Fund Accounting team, focusing on end-to-end fund accounting with a strong emphasis on client reporting.

Your responsibilities will include processing fees, ensuring accurate valuation of financial instruments, handling daily and monthly client reports, resolving queries efficiently, implementing controls to mitigate risks, and contributing to team projects. This role offers a new challenge for an experienced Fund Accountant who thrives in a disciplined, client-oriented environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Process fees and perform accurate valuation of financial instruments for segregated funds.
  • Generate daily and monthly client reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Resolve queries efficiently and provide exceptional client service.
  • Implement controls and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Participate in team projects and initiatives to improve processes and enhance efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as portfolio managers, compliance teams, and auditors.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in fund accounting.
  • Conduct reconciliations and review financial statements to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist in the preparation of fund audits and other related activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of fund accounting activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of working experience in a similar Fund Accounting role.
  • Completed degree in Accounting, Finance, or Investments.
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency in investment administration systems.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with complex financial instruments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and ability to work independently.
  • Client-oriented mindset and ability to deliver exceptional service.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in fund accounting.
