Job Description

Our client, a reputable organization operating in Sasolburg, is currently seeking a Sample Administrator for a 3-month contract. As a leading player in their industry, our client is committed to excellence and innovation.

Our client is looking for a dedicated Sample Administrator to join their team on a 3-month contract basis. As a Sample Administrator, you will be responsible for managing samples and ensuring accurate documentation and record-keeping.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive, label, and catalogue samples using appropriate protocols.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of samples to maintain integrity and prevent contamination.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sample databases and records.
  • Prepare samples for analysis or distribution, following established procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of sample collection and storage supplies.
  • Collaborate with the laboratory team to coordinate sample testing and analysis.
  • Generate reports and summaries of sample data as required.
  • Handle sample inquiries and requests from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in maintaining laboratory quality control and quality assurance practices.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations in handling and storing samples.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of sample management processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Grade 12 education with a focus on mathematics and science.
  • Minimum of 6 years of full-time driving experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet applications.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in sample documentation and record-keeping.
  • Previous experience working in a chemicals production environment is desirable.
  • Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts.
  • Own vehicle is required to demonstrate driving proficiency.
