Job Description

Our client is a prominent retail company operating in the fashion industry, with a strong presence in East London and surrounding areas, including Port Elizabeth, Queenstown, and Transkei.

Our client is looking for a talented and detail-oriented Regional Visual Merchandiser to join their dynamic team. As the Regional Visual Merchandiser, you will be responsible for enhancing the visual aspects of the business in East London and surrounding stores.

This role involves extensive travel within the region, approximately 60 stores, and requires a passion for retail and fashion. You will report to the National Operations Manager and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective execution of visual merchandising strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement visual merchandising strategies, including fixtures, layouts, and flows, to enhance the overall shopping experience.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping to create an attractive and organized environment for customers.
  • Execute product merchandising initiatives to showcase merchandise effectively and drive sales.
  • Coordinate the creation and placement of marketing materials and store signage.
  • Communicate and report on buying and marketing initiatives to ensure alignment with visual merchandising strategies.
  • Provide training to store staff on visual merchandising techniques and best practices.
  • Gather customer feedback and report on observations to inform improvements in visual merchandising.
  • Maintain effective communication with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of merchandise and resolve any issues.
  • Utilize creative skills to develop innovative visual merchandising concepts and displays.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Matric Certificate (to be submitted with application).
  • Post Matric qualification advantageous.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Clothing Retail environment in a similar role.
  • Valid code 08 License (to be submitted with application).
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Proven ability to manage staff and maximize productivity.
  • Excellent creative skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
