Our client is looking for a Project Management Administrator to provide essential support to the project team.This is a contract position that offers an opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of projects in Cape Town.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient project administration and coordination, utilizing your advanced knowledge of project tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Project, and Jira.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of project management processes and procedures.
- Provide administrative support to project managers and the project team, ensuring smooth project execution.
- Coordinate project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and progress reports.
- Monitor project timelines and milestones, proactively identifying and addressing any potential delays or issues.
- Assist in organizing and facilitating project meetings, including the preparation of meeting agendas and minutes.
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation, ensuring proper version control and accessibility.
- Support project budget management, including tracking expenses and managing purchase orders.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, fostering effective communication and relationship-building.
- Contribute to project risk management, assisting with the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks.
- Assist in quality control activities, ensuring adherence to project standards and deliverable requirements.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in project management, sharing knowledge and insights with the team.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in formal project administration is required.
- Solid understanding of project life cycles and methodologies.
- Strong administration skills, with excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Advanced knowledge of project management tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Project, and Jira.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work well under pressure.
- A project management certification or relevant qualification would be advantageous.
