As a Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in financial management and reporting, providing valuable insights and analysis to drive business decisions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Monitor and control budgets, ensuring adherence to financial goals and objectives.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for any deviations from forecasts or budgets.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and liaise with external auditors during the audit process.
  • Generate accurate and timely financial reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Perform cost analysis and identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and complete financial data.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and accounting standards, ensuring compliance in financial reporting.
  • Support the finance team in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or a relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Strong computer literacy, with a high degree of proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the FMCG sector.
  • Sound knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
