The hospitality company is looking for a proactive and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join their dynamic team. As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of the lodges’ facilities, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally and providing a seamless experience for guests.

With your strong leadership skills and attention to detail, you will contribute to the overall success of the lodges and help create a memorable environment for guests to enjoy.


  • Co-ordinate and manage all maintenance and gardens team members, ensuring efficient collaboration and timely completion of tasks.
  • Assess maintenance requirements effectively and prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance, including emergency repairs.
  • Schedule and distribute work assignments to the team, ensuring that resources are allocated according to identified priorities.
  • Oversee and manage maintenance and repairs of structural, mechanical, and electrical systems, ensuring their proper functioning.
  • Coordinate and manage the services, maintenance, and repairs of geysers, heating and air conditioning systems, and water systems, including pumps.
  • Supervise and ensure the maintenance and repairs of finishing, ceilings, flooring, and roofing are carried out to the highest standards.
  • Manage the maintenance and repairs of appliances, including stoves, refrigeration units, and laundry equipment and machines.
  • Coordinate all required services and maintain fire protection equipment, such as fire hoses and fire extinguishers.
  • Organize and schedule the workload based on business activity and identified priorities, ensuring optimal efficiency.
  • Monitor energy expenditure and implement measures to optimize energy usage.
  • Verify the maintenance of the property’s collective equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Implement the property’s preventative maintenance schedule to minimize the risk of unexpected issues.
  • Oversee and manage all upkeep tasks, maintaining a daily log of activities and work orders.
  • Verify the completion of operations and ensure proper validation of completion slips by the appropriate party.
  • Set up and monitor periodic visits related to maintenance contracts to ensure compliance and quality assurance.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections, identifying and addressing any potential hazards promptly.
  • Collaborate with corporate maintenance teams on remodeling projects or capital expenditure needs.
  • Ensure effective cost management of repairs, maintenance, and gardens operations, aligning with maintenance budgets, improvement plans, preventative maintenance schedules, short-term projects, and maintenance contracts.
  • Maintain and control inventories of spares and consumables, recommending the purchase of goods and equipment as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Good overall maintenance knowledge.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of stock procedures and control.
  • Good knowledge of planning, budgeting, and departmental administration.
  • Good knowledge of product and supply, maintenance, and hygiene procedures.
  • Guest-focused philosophy.
