Job Description

Our client is looking for a Life Fund Accountant to join their dynamic team. As a Life Fund Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the end-to-end Fund Accounting process, focusing on collective investments, unit trusts, and ETFs.

Your responsibilities will include processing audit and management fees, handling client cash flows, ensuring accurate valuation of financial instruments, managing queries efficiently, supporting team deliverables, and ensuring controls are in place. This role provides an opportunity to showcase your expertise, contribute to a growing team, and make a significant impact.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Process audit and management fees for life funds.
  • Handle client cash flows, including subscriptions, redemptions, and transfers.
  • Ensure accurate valuation of financial instruments, including unit trusts and ETFs.
  • Efficiently manage queries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support team deliverables and collaborate with colleagues to achieve goals.
  • Implement and maintain controls and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Prepare financial reports and statements for life funds.
  • Conduct reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated with industry regulations and best practices in fund accounting.
  • Provide exceptional client service and establish strong relationships with clients.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiencies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Completed degree in investment, finance, or commerce.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Fund Accounting experience with exposure to Life Funds.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under limited supervision.
  • Client-oriented mindset and excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Flexibility for rotating shifts and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in fund accounting systems and software.
