Our team of professionals ensures the successful execution of projects with an unwavering focus on excellence and client satisfaction. Rustenburg Steel Construction is looking for a skilled Level 2 Fabrication & Welding Inspector to join our dynamic team.

As a Fabrication & Welding Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting inspections of fabricated steel components to ensure compliance with quality standards, codes, and specifications. Your role will contribute to maintaining the structural integrity and quality of our projects, providing assurance to our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough inspections of fabricated steel components, assessing weld quality and structural integrity.
  • Conduct visual inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT) to identify welding defects and irregularities.
  • Record and document inspection results, ensuring accuracy and completeness of reports.
  • Collaborate with the project team to address any non-conformities, deviations, or quality issues.
  • Review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure compliance during fabrication and welding processes.
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to relevant industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, suggesting process enhancements and best practices.
  • Provide guidance and support to welding personnel, promoting quality awareness and continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated with industry developments and advancements in fabrication and welding inspection techniques.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following all safety protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certification or qualification as a Level 2 Welding Inspector or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes, techniques, and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify welding defects and irregularities.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience in fabrication and welding inspection, preferably in the steel construction industry.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
