Our ShareData™ database offers extensive information on listed companies across various exchanges, including the JSE, A2X, CTSE, EESE, and NSX.

Profile Data is looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Junior Equity Researcher to join our dynamic team. As a Junior Equity Researcher, you will play a crucial role in managing our ShareData™ database and conducting financial and equity research into listed companies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct financial and equity research into listed companies, providing valuable insights and analysis.
  • Manage and monitor the Corporate Research South Africa database, forecast database, and ShareData Online website.
  • Analyze and interpret financial statements, financial reports, ratio calculations, exchange rate computations, directors’ dealings, and SENS notes.
  • Source, collate, and verify information on listed companies from SENS, annual reports, and other reliable sources.
  • Compile, proofread, and edit functions for Profile’s Stock Exchange Handbook.
  • Prepare, analyze, and manage data received for shares, currencies, bonds, and indices. Additionally, check, correct, and update dividend and earnings yields.
  • Capture and execute corporate actions, including share consolidations, splits, and unbundlings. Manage listing and delisting of companies.
  • Establish and manage relationships with companies and promptly address client queries.
  • Write media comments based on information from various publications.

  • Affinity for numerical work.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Solid Excel and computer skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • BCom degree with a focus on Economics, Finance, or Accounting, with up to 3rd-year Accounting.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
