Our client is looking for a highly skilled and visionary Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead their organization. As the Group CEO, you will be responsible for setting and driving the strategic direction of the company, ensuring the achievement of long-term goals.

This role requires a candidate with extensive experience in strategic leadership, finance, and a deep understanding of multi-sector industrial organizations. The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary and market-related benefits.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Continuously evaluate and refine short, medium, and long-term strategic objectives to align with the organization’s long-term goals.
  • Engage with the Board and key shareholders to ensure strategic alignment and manage expectations.
  • Identify new market opportunities and potential assets for the company’s growth through market analysis and dialogue with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Board and Executive Chairman to provide performance feedback and ensure compliance with governance and fiduciary duties.
  • Set goals, objectives, and annual plans with subsidiary Managing Directors and monitor operations to achieve quarterly targets.
  • Foster the development of the organization’s culture, structure, and processes in collaboration with the Group Executive Team.
  • Challenge and support individual members of the Group Executive Team to drive excellence.
  • Cultivate an organization-wide focus on innovation and efficiency to improve margins and subsidiary market offerings.
  • Identify collaboration opportunities among subsidiaries to drive strategic objectives and align them with subsidiary goals.
  • Develop appropriate service standards, SLAs, and ensure key executives comply with them.
  • Establish effective controls and governance structures in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Membership in a recognized professional institute at a national, regional, or international level.
  • MBA in strategic management or a business-related field.
  • Post-graduate qualification in IT, Commerce, Engineering, or Business Management.
  • Ideal: MBA or completion of an Executive Leadership Program.
  • Extensive experience in long-term strategic planning, finance, business operations, mergers and acquisitions, and deal structuring.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the fishing, gaming, or energy industries and competitor activities.
  • Proven experience in leading large organizations with a multi-sector industrial focus.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a track record of operating at senior executive levels.
  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial sector experience.
