Our client is a reputable hair and beauty company based in Simon’s Town, Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. With a strong presence in the industry, our client is known for providing exceptional services and maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction.

Our client is looking for a dynamic and customer-oriented Front Desk Coordinator to join their team in the hair and beauty industry.

As a Front Desk Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations at the front desk, providing excellent customer service, and supporting the administrative functions of the salon. This is a permanent position with remuneration and allowances provided.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome clients with a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Handle incoming calls and manage appointments using the ESP booking system, maintaining an organized schedule for stylists and beauticians.
  • Maintain guest records accurately and update client profiles with relevant information.
  • Provide information and guidance to clients regarding available services, products, and promotions.
  • Handle cash transactions, process payments, and issue receipts, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, ensuring it is well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Conduct stock taking regularly and generate orders for stock replenishment to ensure availability of salon products.
  • Liaise with stylists, beauticians, and other staff members to coordinate client appointments and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Address and resolve client queries, concerns, or complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist in general administrative tasks, such as filing documents, managing emails, and handling correspondence.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proficiency in using the ESP booking system or a similar salon management software.
  • Previous experience in the hair and beauty industry, with a strong understanding of salon operations and services.
  • Well-presented with excellent verbal communication skills and a professional phone manner.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and experience in handling administrative tasks.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in stock management and inventory control.
  • Strong guest relations skills and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
