We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Fleet Manager to join our dynamic team.

Afri Guard is looking for a proficient Fleet Manager to oversee our fleet operations. As the Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of our vehicle fleet, ensuring efficient operations, maintenance, and compliance with company policies and regulations.

This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity and functionality of our fleet, supporting our mission to provide top-notch security solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing all Fleet Co-ordinators and ensuring efficient coordination of fleet activities.
  • Monitoring vehicle performance, including tracking, analyzing, and addressing any violations or issues.
  • Generating daily vehicle reports and managing quotes and purchase orders.
  • Managing vehicle fuel cards, e-tags, and maintaining stock control.
  • Identifying and purchasing vehicles to expand and enhance the fleet.
  • Scheduling and coordinating regular vehicle maintenance.
  • Arranging urgent or emergency repairs when needed.
  • Establishing efficient routes and transportation schedules.
  • Coordinating Drivers and maintenance professionals when setting employee schedules.
  • Managing vehicle licenses and registrations.
  • Ensuring all fleet members have proper licenses and up-to-date training.
  • Monitoring Drivers to ensure adherence to schedules and safe driving practices.
  • Recruiting, hiring, and training new Drivers as required.
  • Providing regular reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance, and fleet progress.
  • Developing and implementing cost-saving measures and process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 qualification.
  • Valid Driver’s License with at least 5 years of driving experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a management position.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Fleet position.
  • Mechanical knowledge or experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure and long hours.
  • Own vehicle.
  • Applicants must be prepared to undergo a Criminal Clearance Check and Polygraph Test.
