Disa Logistics is looking for a skilled and motivated Fleet Controller to join our dynamic team. As a Fleet Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing our fleet of vehicles, ensuring smooth operations and timely deliveries.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and track the company’s fleet of vehicles to ensure efficient operations and adherence to schedules.
- Accurately capture and manage mileage and diesel slips, maintaining detailed records for reporting and analysis purposes.
- Respond promptly and effectively to driver and Proof of Delivery (POD) queries, addressing any issues or concerns to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Optimize fleet turnaround times by coordinating with drivers, dispatchers, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Plan routes effectively, taking into consideration factors such as traffic, delivery requirements, and vehicle capabilities.
- Manage and supervise our team of drivers, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks on vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulations to minimize accidents and promote a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as operations and customer service, to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements, applying relevant knowledge to improve fleet management practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Full bilingual proficiency in English and [second language].
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification is compulsory.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Transport/Logistics field, with a strong understanding of fleet management principles and practices.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and systems for fleet management and tracking.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with drivers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation.
