Our client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join their dynamic team. As a key member of the company, you will be responsible for overseeing the finance operations and ensuring the effective management of financial reporting and systems.
This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on the company’s financial performance and potential for career growth, including the possibility of transitioning into a CFO role in the future. The Financial Manager position comes with a competitive remuneration package of R1,300,000 CTC per year.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the financial reporting function, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in compliance with the group accounting manual and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Oversee the finance operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls and processes to safeguard the company’s assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to drive profitability and efficiency.
- Coordinate the preparation of annual financial statements and liaise with auditors during the audit process.
- Manage the relationship with banks, financial institutions, and other stakeholders.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement.
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes, providing financial insights and supporting the achievement of business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, fostering effective communication and synergy across departments.
Qualifications and Experience:
- BCom degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Honors degree is highly advantageous.
- Completed articles and CA(SA) qualification.
- 6-12 years of experience in an accounting and financial management role.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations.
- Proven experience in managing finance operations, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent understanding of internal controls and risk management.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
