Analytical Solutions is looking for an experienced External Sales Representative to join our dynamic team at our Head Office in Randburg. As an External Sales Representative, you will play a vital role in growing our customer base and promoting our range of laboratory equipment, including NIR, refractometers, and protein analyzers.
Join our team and contribute to our success in delivering exceptional analytical solutions to clients in Gauteng, North-West, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Free State, and neighbouring countries. Remuneration and allowances will be discussed during the interview process.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage existing key accounts and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Implement sales and marketing strategies to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Arrange and conduct client meetings to present our products and address customer needs.
- Perform equipment demonstrations to potential customers, showcasing the features and benefits.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries, resolving issues professionally and maintaining excellent customer relationships.
- Conduct market research to identify new market segments and develop strategies to expand our presence.
- Prepare and submit quotations and proposals to customers, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Follow up on quotes and orders to secure sales and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Deliver product-related presentations at seminars and exhibitions, representing Analytical Solutions.
- Meet annual sales targets by effectively managing the sales pipeline and closing deals.
- Identify growth opportunities within the region and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
- Nurture and strengthen relationships with existing customers, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction.
- Attend product training sessions to enhance product knowledge and stay updated with industry trends.
Qualifications and Experience:
- BSc/BTech in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Food Technology, or Food Science.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in selling NIR equipment, particle size equipment, refractometers, density meters, fat and fibre extractors, elemental analyzers, and protein analyzers.
- Established relationships with Food and Beverage laboratories, laboratory managers, and factories.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Clean criminal record.
- Fluent in English (read/write/speak), additional language skills will be advantageous.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel extensively, approximately 80% of the time.
- Action-oriented with a strong drive for achieving results.
Previous experience in selling NIR, Refractometers and Protein Analyzers is an essential part of the application as knowledge will be tested during the interview stage.
