Job Description

Our client is a leading provider of skilled and certified Drone Pilots. With expertise in Remote Piloting and B-VLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) operations, they offer a range of services across various sectors.

Their commitment to safety, professionalism, and innovation has made them a trusted name in the industry. Our client is looking for skilled and certified Drone Pilots to join their dynamic team.

As a Certified Drone Pilot, you will be responsible for operating drones in accordance with regulations and guidelines. This is a permanent position with opportunities for additional training and growth. Locations for these positions include Witbank, Secunda, and Port Elizabeth (PE).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducting pre-flight inspections to ensure drones are in optimal condition.
  • Operating drones for aerial surveillance, photography, mapping, or other designated purposes.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and regulations during all flight operations.
  • Monitoring and maintaining communication with ground control during flights.
  • Capturing high-quality aerial footage or images as per project requirements.
  • Analyzing flight data and generating reports on drone performance.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to drone operations.
  • Collaborating with the team to plan and execute drone operations effectively.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and airspace restrictions.
  • Maintaining accurate flight logs and records.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Valid Remote Pilot License (RPL) is mandatory.
  • Minimum PSIRA Grade E certification.
  • Possession of a valid and current Code B Driver’s License.
  • Experience and documented flight hours in a logbook.
  • Strong knowledge of drone operation principles, airspace regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with drone equipment and technology.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work in different locations as required.
