The law firm in Sandton is looking for a Conveyancing Secretary (Bonds) to join their dynamic team. As a Conveyancing Secretary, you will play a vital role in supporting the firm’s conveyancing operations with a particular focus on bonds.

The successful candidate will have experience working with major banks and possess the ability to work independently. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the firm’s success and work in a fast-paced, professional environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full spectrum of conveyancing transactions related to bonds.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including bond registrations, cancellations, and related correspondence.
  • Liaise with major banks, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient transaction processes.
  • Conduct property searches, verifications, and due diligence as required.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and signings with clients and relevant parties.
  • Maintain accurate and organized files, documents, and records for each transaction.
  • Communicate with relevant parties regarding progress, requirements, and any potential issues.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and cost calculations.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding tasks, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Stay updated on changes in legislation, regulations, and industry best practices related to conveyancing.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Conveyancing Secretary, with a focus on bonds.
