Job Description

Tems911 is a leading company in the emergency services sector, specializing in providing dispatch services and support. Our control center and head office play a critical role in coordinating emergency responses and ensuring effective communication between responders and those in need. Tems911 is looking for 8 dedicated candidates who are eager to be trained and work as Dispatchers in our control center and head office. As a Dispatcher, you will play a vital role in our team, assisting with various administrative tasks and ensuring smooth operations in the control center.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming emergency calls and gather essential information to initiate appropriate response procedures.
  • Dispatch emergency response teams to incidents, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and timely assistance.
  • Monitor and track the progress of emergency incidents, providing updates and support to responders as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all calls, actions taken, and outcomes.
  • Coordinate communication between responders, emergency services, and other relevant parties.
  • Assist in administrative tasks, including data entry, report generation, and document management.
  • Ensure compliance with established protocols, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Support the training and onboarding of new dispatchers, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in a professional manner.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Matric certificate (Grade 12) is required.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with callers and responders.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
  • Good handwriting skills for accurate and legible documentation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Prior experience in dispatching or call center operations is advantageous but not mandatory.

Remuneration:

Successful candidates will receive comprehensive training as part of the selection process. An employment offer will be extended to those who demonstrate competency and skills during the training period. Remuneration details will be discussed during the interview.
