We are looking for a Call Centre – Debt Collector to join our client’s dynamic team in Bellville, Cape Town. In this role, you will engage with customers to resolve outstanding debts in a professional and empathetic manner.

Utilizing effective negotiation strategies and state-of-the-art systems, you will play a vital role in managing accounts and contributing to the overall success of the collections team. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers in a professional and empathetic manner to resolve outstanding debts.
  • Implement effective negotiation strategies to secure payment arrangements and reach mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Utilize the company’s state-of-the-art systems to track and manage accounts efficiently.
  • Collaborate with a supportive team to achieve individual and collective targets.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all customer interactions and payment agreements.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Adhere to all relevant regulations and compliance standards in debt collection practices.
  • Continuously update knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
  • Contribute to process improvements and share insights to optimize collections strategies.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in all interactions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in debt collections, specifically in a call center environment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
  • Passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Experience with Excalibur 4 is highly beneficial.
  • Grade 12/Matric or equivalent qualification.
  • Proficiency in relevant computer applications and systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Type: Full-Time
Working Hours: 07h45 to 16h00 (No weekends)
Remuneration Package: R 4800,00 (plus uncapped commission)
