Our client is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join their team. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a vital role in driving business growth by cultivating new client relationships and strengthening existing ones.

This role requires a strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the audit and accounting sector.


  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to drive revenue growth and increase market share.
  • Identify and target potential clients, building and nurturing relationships to generate new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to define target markets, positioning strategies, and key value propositions.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive landscapes, and potential areas for business expansion.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients, effectively communicating the firm’s services and value proposition.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery and exceptional client satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads, tracking progress and reporting on sales activities and results.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices, applying relevant knowledge to drive business growth.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand professional networks and promote the firm’s brand.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop marketing materials, campaigns, and initiatives to support business development efforts.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing roles.
  • Experience in the accounting or financial services industry is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of working with entrepreneurs and understanding their unique needs and challenges.
  • Demonstrated success in generating new business and achieving revenue growth.
  • Strong networking, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to understand complex accounting services and effectively communicate their value to clients.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking with a hands-on approach to business development.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales and marketing tools.
  • South African ID or South African Citizenship is required.
