Our client, a top asset management company, is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Associate to join their team in Cape Town. As a Business Development Associate, you will play a vital role in client relationship management and support business development initiatives.

You will be responsible for maintaining strong client relationships, optimizing client interactions through a CRM system, and contributing to the growth of the company through effective business development strategies. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a professional environment with a beautiful view of the mountains in the southern suburbs of Cape Town.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring excellent client service and satisfaction.
  • Handle client concerns, address inquiries, and proactively build and maintain client relationships.
  • Maintain an updated CRM system to optimize client interactions and track business development activities.
  • Prepare high-quality presentations and materials for client meetings and engagements.
  • Coordinate and organize client events, meetings, and trips to enhance business development efforts.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to support brand promotion and enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential business opportunities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of business development strategies.
  • Foster a collaborative and respectful work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Relevant tertiary degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of working experience in investment management, stockbroking, fund services, or private banking.
  • Strong background in institutional client service, client engagement, and business development support.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience using CRM systems for maintaining client data and interactions.
  • Positive attitude, client-centric approach, and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
