Our client is looking for an experienced Audit Senior to join their team. As an Audit Senior, you will play a crucial role in conducting audits and related activities for clients based in Johannesburg, Cape Town, and KwaZulu-Natal.
Your expertise in auditing, along with your strong organizational and time management skills, will ensure the completion of audits within budget and to the highest standards. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct financial audits of clients across various industries.
- Plan and execute audit procedures in accordance with professional standards.
- Review and analyze client financial statements and related documentation.
- Identify and communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients.
- Evaluate internal controls and make recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare audit reports and ensure their accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with audit teams and provide guidance to junior staff.
- Stay updated on changes in auditing regulations and best practices.
- Manage multiple audit engagements simultaneously and prioritize tasks.
- Travel to client locations in Johannesburg, Cape Town, and KwaZulu-Natal for on-site audits.
- Maintain effective communication with clients and respond to their inquiries.
- Assist in the training and development of junior audit staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Completed SAICA training program and discharged.
- BCompt Accounting Science or equivalent (completed or close to completion).
- CTA 1 or 2 (or registering in the next semester/year).
- Proficiency in CaseWare Working Papers is non-negotiable.
- Experience in conducting financial audits.
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work within budget constraints.
- Valid driver’s license and access to own transport.
- Willingness to travel for client engagements.
