Our client is looking for a talented and results-driven Area Manager specializing in FMCG sales to join their dynamic team. As an integral part of the sales department, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing sales operations in the Cape Town area.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team, drive business growth, and achieve sales targets. Remuneration, allowances, and other incentives will be discussed during the interview process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Manage a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings and training sessions to ensure team alignment and continuous improvement.
  • Set sales targets and closely monitor performance, providing coaching and guidance to achieve objectives.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop effective promotional campaigns and initiatives.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and reports, providing accurate and timely information to management.
  • Stay updated with industry developments, market dynamics, and customer needs to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as an Area Manager in FMCG sales or a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of FMCG industry trends, products, and market dynamics.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed decisions.
  • Results-driven and target-oriented.
  • Proficiency in using sales management software and MS Office.
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
