Our client is looking for an experienced and driven individual to fill the Accounting and Tax position. As an integral member of the team, you will be responsible for providing taxation compliance services to a diverse portfolio of clients from various industries.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with the latest cloud-based software, gaining proficiency in its usage. The successful candidate will contribute to the firm’s continued success by ensuring accurate and timely tax calculations, submissions, and compliance services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and calculate company, trust, and individual tax returns, ensuring accurate calculations and timely submissions.
  • Handle provisional tax calculations and submissions, adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Manage IT14SD calculations and submissions, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
  • Process EMP501 and IRP5 certificates accurately and on time.
  • Handle registrations with SARS and the Department of Labour, including UIF, WCA, PAYE, and VAT.
  • Assist with NOO/NOA/RFR applications as required.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the accounting treatment and tax implications of transactions to complete tax returns and annual financial statements effectively.
  • Manage CIPC Annual Return submissions and other necessary changes using CIPC.
  • Utilize U-filing for efficient processing and management of tax-related matters.
  • Stay up-to-date with tax legislation and regulations to ensure compliance and provide accurate advice.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Accounting degree and completed articles preferred.
  • Proven experience in accounting and tax, with a focus on taxation compliance services.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based software and the ability to adapt and learn new technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of tax calculations, submissions, and compliance requirements.
  • Understanding of accounting treatment and tax implications for accurate tax return completion.
  • Experience with CIPC Annual Return submissions and other necessary changes.
  • U-filing experience will be advantageous.


The gross salary for this position is R18,000 per month, with no additional benefits.
